Eames & Saarinen Organic Chair
This chair is the result of a collaboration between two design masters of the times. This time Charles Eames partnered up with Eero Saarinen to create the Organic Chair. This 50’s chair looks like it's grown rather than built, hence the name organic. This collaboration was actually part of their entry for the 'Organic Design in Home Furnishings' competition in 1940, which was organized by the New York Museum of Modern Art.
The lines and curves of this chair are very natural. Eames and Saarinen paved the way for organic looking furniture so it was only a matter of time before they teamed up. This simple low key reading chair is sure to subtly stand out, wherever you put it.
Dimensions (LWH): 48cm x 52cm x 28cm
Please note that the colours of the chair tops and legs may vary from the images on this page.
